“For things to change, you have to change.”
When I first heard these words many years ago it had a profound impact on me. It allowed me to refocus attention on myself. If I was going to get the “ball” to advance toward the goal line, I had to look at the man in the mirror. There was one big challenge though… the “HOW”.
Master Key Lesson three takes this concept to another level. The watchman at the gate has to be on duty twenty four hours a day, without overtime or holiday pay, guarding against forces like the Internet, cable TV and well intended but unqualified opinions of others from entering and corrupting subby.
I sat. I thought. I was honest. I concluded that I allowed past failures hinder future achievements. I abandoned the watchman at the gate letting looters (world without) sabotage subby (world within). I was stuck!
My blueprint wasn’t as clear as I thought it was. I used words, which to my surprise, blocked the intended messages to subby. The “HOW” I learned is designed by the simple exercises and use of the index cards prescribed in the Master Key System.
“… the few moments spent each day on this new habit are but a small price to pay for the happiness and success that is mine.”
The difficult part of this whole process is that it’s sooo simple. Many have been conditioned with what I call the “Fast Food Mentality”. We want everything now. We want results yesterday. As the old saying goes, “What’s easy to do, is easy not to do.”
“… I must practice the art of patience for nature acts never in haste.”
I’m sure there’s more enthuuusiasm to come in the weeks ahead. Buckle up!
“I drink as instructed and spill not a drop. And the seed of success I swallow.”
It’s a time for celebration.
